Back probably about 8 or 9 months ago my Dad and I bought a 1979 CT70 which has been giving us a lot of trouble, anyway, from the beginning the bike has not been shifting well (The shift lever has been really lose feeling and it pretty much only shifts while accelerating) so we cracked open the right hand crankcase side to try to see if we could see what was wrong. We found out that the plate that hold the three little nubs used to shift gears was loose and so we tried to tighten that and after re-assembling we still had problems shifting just recently we again cracked the right hand side case again to see if we could see anything obviously wrong. We found again that the bolt that holds the nibs in place was loose so we tightened it again but it made little difference. So if anyone has any idea what could be wrong with it, help would be much appreciated, thanks.
