Can someone tell me what the Flange number is on the tall carbs that are on the silver tag bikes??

    Thanks, Mike

Mike, I think I remember my silver tags as having the short carbs like the other KO's, might be wrong though, Here is a pic of 2 of my silvertags, both low mileage originals, if I zoom in on the carb it has a short one, tall cap

I think you are right Mike, my HKO has the taller cap, and the K3 has the shorter cap.

    You've got my curiosity on this one guys. We know the old carbs have a short slide/tall cap SS/TC. I took a look at what I've got: IK(Jap symbal) HT7A - SS/TC; IE(dif. Jap symbal) HT7A - SS/TC; JB= AT7B - SS/TC; KB (another Jap symbal) AT7B - TS/SC; KC(Jap symbal) 533A - TS/SC. I think you're looking for an HT7A - SS/TC or an AT7B - SS/TC.
Could the H be for an H and an A for an auto.? The H came from my 4 speed.
Are there any silver tag H's ?
The most subtle thing I noticed was the 90 deg all brass nipples for the gas lines on my oldest carb. The others have a straight brass nipple.
Does it have to be this difficult?

There are no Silver Tag H's...Basically the Silver Tags were the 1st month of CT70 production and that was KO's only. I believe that actual CT70 production began in 1968, sold in 1969 and the HKO's were not introduced until May of 1970. By then US law required the information that is on the black tags. Actually by the second month of US distribution of KO's, the black tags were mandatory.

I am looking at my 69 Silver Tag KO and a 70 HKO carbs...Just the carb, they are not on the bikes and I am not seeing a difference in them...I will look at the others, but I am very confident that these are original to the bikes.

I am pretty sure the HT7A is the H model carb, HKO anyway, everyone I've had has had this carb

I looked at my silver tag tonight, It has the tall cap, but I don't see a number on the flange of the carb. This bike has a number in the low 2000's It has the orignal carb on it. I'll look tomorow and see if I can see a number in the daylight.
