    finally got my k3 runnin!

so i've been fixing up this little bike i got from the scrapyrad i work at.for the last 3 months i,ve had little sucess. first i had no spark. so i bought a new coil, new plug, new boot, and eventualy a new stator assembley. when i sauterd the condenser wires i laid a fat glob on and she was grounding out on the side of the condenser. thanks to info from this forum i re sauterd the wires and wraped up all the wires in the stator. next i had a rusty old gas tank. i tried out the vinager/ hydrogen peroxide trick with some nuts and bolts.it did the trick but after having gas in the tank over night i got a pinhole leak. i was considering the POR 15 kit but since it was such a tiny hole and those kits are so darn expensive i bought a product called Seal All. havent had a problem yet. to the carb. i have cleaned her out a few times and have sealed both intake seals. but i think i adjusted the float wrong. i got her, when flipped upside down, gently resting on the float needle, the bottom of the float comes very close to level with the gasket surface. i have heard the 25/30 is the correct measure ment but i dont got a guage , i should be able to eye it out right. when she is running with the choke on she idles then when i switch it to off she revs up then dies. i took er for a few rips by switchin the choke off and on to allow some air flow and then to cut the airflow. ripin that bike finally was the such a blast. tell me what u think.

i'll post some pics soon, shes ruff but shes coming along

Most early CT70 carburetor float settings are 25/32". Refer to the picture below to assist you on where and how to measure it.

Okay im still having problems with spark. i have weak inconsistent spark. the whole electrical system has been replaced. i have one wire runnning from the black wire from the stator to the black wire of the igntion coil, which is mounted to the frame. when replacing the stator plate seals i punctured a whole in the plate. i tried using the seal all shit but it leaked oil over the stator coils. could oil cause the stator coils to disfunction or could it screw with the points or condenser. i am almost ready to take this bike to a shop. its so frusturating that something so simple can still screw up somehow. is there anything that could go wrong with the flywheel besides the key? i had this bike running for a bit but the oil was leaking out of the stator plate. after i fixed it i could obtain spark but i was inconsistent and not enough to fire up gas put straight into the cylinder.
any advice /info would be greatly appreciated.

Try pulling the boot off the plug wire and trimming it just a bit...Then put the boot back on making sure it is connected good with the wires. Since your spark is sporadic that could be the issue.
