I have two 1972 CT70 K1's and one bikes exhaust note is overall mellow and relatively quiet.
The other bikes exhaust note particularly when accelerating has a MUCH louder (excuse the reference) wet farty and raspy sound which to me is irritating!
They both seem to have the same stock exhaust, both with the baffles installed.
Does the tune of the engine have any bearing on the very different exhaust note between the two? Why the big difference?

My guess is your exhaust is rusted through on the "noisy" bike. Check it underneath the baffle area. I had one K1 rust through in this area. Usually right along the exhaust's seam.

Flash is probably right. Also check for a crack in the exhaust pipe under the forward insulator clamp. I've seen two crack there.
