    Help in Restoring a CT70

I have a CT70 that I am in the process of restoring. I am only going o replace some parts and not do a complete frame up restoration. The black tube that the electrical wires go through next to the stearing hub is all worn out and I want to replace it. I need some help in doing this. It looks like all the electrical wires will need to be pulled through this black sleve. Is their anyone on the San Francisco bay area that has done this and can provide me with some assistance. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..Neal

If you are not doing a perfect resto abd your wires are okay..You can go to an auto parts store and buy wire harness tape..It's black but not as shiny as electrical tape. It's easy to wrap with.

It's not that hard to pull wires through new tubing that's still flexible. However, if you're unconcerned about originality, you might consider using black split loom. It's the corrugated plastic tubing with a lengthwise slit and can be found in nearly any auto parts store, cheap.

    Hi RacerX

Thanks for your reply. The problem I am having is getting the whole wad of wires with connectors through the sleve. I would prefer using the original sleve I have. Know anyone in the bay area that could help me?

Run a small steel wire with a small loop on the end through the tubing 1st. Then tape your wires to it and pull them through. It works best if you don't tape all the ends in the same place. Electricions use a fish wire all the time with conduit.

I just did this on my bike. I used a coat hangar and I just pulled the wires one at a time with regular wire pulling lube, it wasn't too bad... you can buy the tubing from dratv, sorry I don't have a link up but it's in the electrical section... shouldn't be too hard to find.
