    hi volume oil pump

    Can someone explain how to install the oil pump driveshaft that comes with the hi volume pumps for older CT's. Mine is a 72 HK1. Thanks in advance.

    Assuming that you already have the engine apart...it unscrews from the drive sprocket, normal RH thread. Suggest replacing the drive sprocket at the same time. It's common to find significant wear on the original.

    Do I need to disassemble the left side case etc. to gain access?
