hello my chain just fell off, I JUST need a master link to connect it up again.
1. Where is the best place to buy a master link? (cheapest + quality)
2.How do I repair the chain? 2.2 What tools do I need?

Call tri city cycle
they are just down the road from you and will carry it in stock
NO...take the chain with you too make sure you buy the correct sized link..problem solved after about 5 bux is spent....but..do the smart thing...check sprokets for wear and buy complete new chain/sprokets if need be...chain flying off is percursor to chain flying off at 40mph and taking out all sorts of bad mojo parts in the tranny...fix it right
As mentioned before, check both sprockets for wear and ensure you keep the chain tension with-in limits. Free play should be between 1/2" to 3/4" right in the middle of both sprockets.
The standard master link size is a 420 and can purchased from the link I posted below.
CONNECTOR LINK STANDARD CHAIN
1970 CT70HK0 Candy Emerald Green (restored)
1972 CT70HK1 Candy Ruby Red (restored)
1973 CT70K2 Candy Topaz Orange (Grandfather's original)
1974 CT70K3 Candy Topaz Orange (low mileage original)
1974 CT70K3 Candy Riviera Blue (restoration-in progress)
Me personally, i would only fix a snapped chain to get me to the nearest bike shop to get a new one. If one link has broken, there will be half a dozen more ready to let go. And if the chain has that much wear, the sprockets are probably too worn also. If you are gunna reuse the sprockets, just buy a $20 420 chain, keep the masterlink off the old chain for emergencies and bin the rest.
Thanks for the advice
I put a connector on and in the process of ordering a new chain.
the only problem I am having is to put that last little clip on the connector:
CONNECTOR LINK STANDARD CHAIN
Its the little clip on the far left. How do I put it on?
Checked the sprockets, both are fine; all the teeth are there...
Take the above advice about damaging mojo tranny parts. I took the easy way out and did a little damage and wrecked the left side cover.
As for the clip, if you can get the solid/round side on (the side without the open clip) the other side is easy. Dont worry about placing both sides of the clip on at once. I find affixing the top part of the clip first then using a flat-head screwdriver to push down and in until it falls into place. Once you do you first one, you'll never have a problem doing it again. Its a dance that you learn as you go.
thanks
I got the connecting clip on
