Installing swing arm bushings on CT70KO

I am getting ready to reassemble my bike after Powder Coating.I had a lot of fun getting the bushings out of the swing arm.I tourched, grinded, chiseled, sawed, ect. to get the old ones out.I did not have much left of the bushings when I was done.I have two NOS bushings to install.I am going to have my local honda dealer press them in for me.My question is whether or not there should be any kind of spacer between the bushings. There is a slight ridge inside that looks like the bushing should stop behind. It does not look like I have caused any damage to the swing arm except the ridge is very slight and I hope I did not wear it down in the removal process.I assume the Honda dealer will know how far to press it in.If any one has any experience or advise please let me know.
    Thank you,
    Dave

The swingarm bushing was on my "to figure out list" I have an old swing arm that I was going to split to see what was inside along with the bushing. I'll start cutting and let you know what I find. I'll try to get you some dimensions of the seating area for the bushing.

The swingarm that I operated on was from a K1. There was no specific seat for the bushing to rest on. There was a very subtle change but I would not call it a seat. However there was a spacer with two "washers" on it in the center. If you need some dimensions let me know. Hope the pictures help. Could you tell me where you got the bushings from that you are using.

    Thank you !!!

Those pictures are great.I think I have the spacer but the washers did not make it through the removal. If you have no need for the spacer and washers I would be very greatful if I could buy them or trade you. Thanks again for taking the time to look into this it shows me what I am up against. If you are not interested in selling the spacer/washer set up the measurements would be very helpful to make sure I have the right item.
    Thanks Again!!!!

The spacer made it through but the washers have cuts in them (I rolled the cuts to the back for the picture). Here are some dimensions for you:

    Spacer: L=1.153", OD=0.653", ID=0.400"

Washers: have an L shaped cross-section with the bottom of the L making contact with the OD of the spacer. ID=0.656" (It's a snug fit over the spacer) OD=0.8455" (out at the top of the L). The base of the L or depth of the washer is 0.126" and the thickness of the sheet metal from which the washer was stamped is 0.028"

One option would be to assemble the swingarm with the spacer only. My thoughts are that the washers are only there to aid in centering the spacer during assembly. They are to thin and can't be taking any load, that is what the bushing is for. A second option would be to put two appropriately sized O-rings over the spacer to center things up. Let me know how you make out.

Also, can you let me know where you got your new bushings from?

    swing arm bushing vender.

I called Northeast Vintage Cycle and told them I needed swing arm bushings for my 69 Ct70 and they knew the part # I have the part at home and can get back to you with the #. They are OEM Honda in sealed parts bag.It seams like I paid about $7.00 each.
I got them about a month ago. I really appreciate the time you took and all the info.I am
sure this will be helpful to many other members who have ever tried or thought about replacing the bushings. What is your thought on just wrapping teflon or aluminum tape around the spacer to replace the washers.I agree it looks like there purpose is for centering the spacer and not to have any structural value.Once the bolt is in place the bushings do all the wok?

They still make and sell the swingarm bushings. I will try to find out the website and get back to you, I recently replaced mine and used the old spacer in between them. I had the Honda dealership press the old ones out and press the new ones in.
