    Question Low Power Please Help

was just at the cottage and tried my ct70 out for the first time since I bought it. Its a great looking bike but seems to lack lots of power. It barely has the power to run through second gear. I will try carb cleaning but any suggestuions will help

    thanks, MATT

Start with the easy stuff. Set the points, fill it with fresh gas, clean out the carb, stuff like that. If it's still weak then it's time for a compression test.

Check the valve lash. My bike sat for a long time and the valves stuck. If the last is out just a little it can really impact the performance.
