    Mounting tires on rims

    Hey guys

I'm new to the minitrail scene but I've been around long enough to know that the way I mounted my last two tires can't be the easiest way.

I was trying to mount a new set of Sno Hogs on the split style rims, but had a devil of a time stopping the tube from creeping up in between the two halves and getting pinched. Is there something that I'm missing to mount these a bit easier?

    Thanks

I usually put alittle air in the tube so it firms up then bolt the rims together and air the tube up. Not sure if that is the correct way or not but I haven't pinched a tube yet.

That's the way I've done it too. You can apply a little dishsoap to the tire beads as well, to help them seat.

That much I did. I also did put air in the first one but maybe I used a bit too much. Thanks for the tip - I'll try that for sure next time.

There are a few threads in this forum that deal with removing tires. Just search for 'tires off rims' and there are three or four that come up.

I think this is the most recent one.
