    Need advice on rear shocks

    Hello Everyone!
I'm new to this forum but not necessarily new to trail 70's. This seems like a very nice forum and I have really enjoyed reading the posts and already gained much insight. I owned one as a kid back in the mid 70's and currently own a 1970 CT70H and just this week bought a 72 CT70H from the original owner. It's not perfect but a very nice complete bike and all original with 1900 miles. The guy I bought it from was probably in his 60's and he said he used it mostly to ride his grand kids around on. I don't doubt this because the rear shocks seem a little tired. I've been looking on ebay and other places for used shocks and also new. Does anyone have a recommendation for replacement shocks? I plan on doing some easy trail riding but still want to keep the bike looking stock. From what I understand the top covers come off and can be used with some newer shocks. Should I even waste my time buying used ones? My 1970 model has 2400 miles on it, but the rear shocks feel fine, so buying used might work if you knew the shocks were okay. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance! John

Check these out. I think they are just what you need and are affordable too.

I have those shocks on this bike. As you can see they're pretty close to stock using the Doc's covers. Watch eBay, they'll run specials for $74.74 free shipping with the covers.

FWIW I put a set of these on my K3 restore, and they ride much better with an adult rider than the original shocks that were on the bike when I bought it.
