I want to paint a few bikes with saffire blue. I know I could buy the kit for 128.00 on this site, but to me thats alot. 250 for 2 bikes. I'm wondering if anyone has the paint code for me? Thanks in advance.

every paint manufacturer has their own paint code
so matching it by honda's paint code,to lets say sikkens won't help
even buying a base coat, clear coat, thinner would prob more expensive
but if you know someone in the paint shop they could match it for you
i would go with the honda paint its going to be matching, and cheaper
imo
"gas on the right"
It will be tough to buy Primer, Base, Candy, and Clear Coats for less than the kit cost. Good luck.

These threads are like the ones discussing what Oil is best.
If you want original, I would say get the kit. If you want it close, you can buy a new headlight bucket for the KO's that is Saphire Blue. Also Chain Guards are available new in that color. You can then get a paint distributor to match the color.
Here is a link to a thread discussing some paint code matches in House of Color and Dupont Chromabase.

I want to paint 2 maybe 3 bikes probably not going to happen with 1 kit. I bought a quart of emerald green with silver base it painted 4 bikes. Thats what im leaning towards. I just thought someone on this board might have a code for it I have the house of color for Emerald.
The code is in the post xsive gave you, and a quart of kandy is not going to paint 3 bikes. The House of kolor will take at least 3 coats to provide the depth of color that the stock Honda candy has. I would say your going to be 300-350 in enough paint, primer, base, kandy, and clear to paint 3 bikes. If you already have some paint you can back that cost out. I would guess 2qts primer, 1qt base, 2qts kandy, and at least 1qt clear. I don't think that is enough clear, by the time you clear some of the polished alum. parts.
