    stator coil question

When replacing the points and condenser i ruined my stator coil.I relaced one side with the 3 pc kit{points-condenser-primary coil) on the other side is the stator coil. The old one had 2 wires running to it.The winding that is wrapped around the middle has white wire comming off to be conected as the old one was. There was also a wire going to the inside winding at the end.the other end is grounded with the mounting screw. The stator coil i bought only has the white wire- no other wire at the end to attach my other wire too.I cant seem to find the three wires that go into the case in my manual. Can I just attach the other wire to the ground wire thatis in the mounting bolt???
    Thanks In advance for advice

There are two different stator coils for the CT70 I beleive. One is for the 3 speed and other for the 4 speed. If thats not the reasoning behind it, its due to the electrical acessories headlight, turn signal, brake light, ect... here is a link that will show you from bike bandit, it shows the coil as part #11 and you will find there are two to select from, the part number is included so just look up your bike on their web site. 1971 Honda CT70H OEM Parts, 1971 Honda CT70H OEM Motorcycle Parts - BikeBandit.com Good luck.
