Thread: Stator plate: help!!!

Does any body know the steps to removing the stator plate? I removed the 2 screws and it feels as sealed as before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Zack, Thats all it is...two screws...Try to wiggle it some to get it out. The HKO I just did was a little tough also.

If you look closely at the picture there is one screw that bolts the cylinder head on, if it is too long it could be holding it in.

Try and put the screws back into the holes a couple threads and then use some needle nosed vise grips too pull on the screws with to get the stator out. I too had a very hard time getting my old stator plate out of the H engine I recently did. They come out but the big o-ring around the plate seals very well!
