    Turn signal issues

I've been dealing with turn signal problems ever since I got my ct70. They will usually flash very dimly or not at all. I've replaced the flasher with a new unit from dratv but nothing changed. Last time I rode it, they lit up and flashed, but never very brightly. I just replaced a broken rear taillight and was impressed with how bright it was. I then turned on my left signal but only the front left came on(steady). I noticed that the flasher was dented. Probably got pinched in the seat. I changed the flasher, and now I've got no signals. I have very little time to tinker with it so I'd like to have a plan of attack for the rare occasions I do have a few minutes to spend on it. Any suggestions?

make sure the flasher is hooked up right, if you have the terminals reversed it would cause them to not turn on as described. As for the brightness, these bikes came with too thin of wires and just by replacing the wires with a thicker gauge current can flow better and you can have brighter lights, also a 12v system would be much brighter.

I tried reversing the leads on the flasher, but it didn't help. Larger gauge wire makes sense, but I'd like to get them functioning before worrying too much about the brightness. I'll just have to pull out the wiring schematic and find where I'm loosing my power.

I spent a few minutes troubleshooting today and found a loose bulb socket. Fixed it, but it wasn't my problem. I briefly jumped the terminals on the flasher and found I now had nice strongly lit signals. This was a new flasher bought from the local auto store. It was a 12 volt flasher. I figured it wouldn't work, but the one I took out was labeled 12 volt as well. I put the original one back in and the signals began working again, but very dim as usual. Do they make a 6 volt flasher? It seems this is my problem.

I just found that exact one and ordered it minutes after I posted. I'll post back after I install it and report on the difference.
