    Turn signals slow

    I just got a 1974.....runs good, etc.

I put a new battery in, but the turn signals blink really slow.....could the flasher be "bad"? Anything else to check?

I had the same problem on my 1978 and I put in a new flasher unit and everthing was fine so I would start there. here's hoping that is an easy fix for you too.

You might also want to replace all the bulbs, even if they work. Sometimes they build up resistance and blink slow. Also clean out the sockets really well. Anthing that creates resistance will slow the blinks.

Put in a new blinker - works great now!

    Thanks.
