Wheel hubs/rims - What not to paint?

    Hi

I'm refinishing the wheels on my 71 trail 70 and the hubs/rims have been bead blasted, which turned out really well with minimal cost. Much better then trying to sand them yourself!

I need to know if there are any areas of the hubs or rims that should not get any paint on them when I start spraying. Also, any other tips for refinishing the wheels would be appreciated. I'm using spray paint in a can from minigunz.com.

    Thanks
    Tom

First, the Minigunz paint is excellent. Best spraycan paint and the correct color for your wheels and engine cases. Good choice.

Second, polish the brake backing plates and spray both wheel halves and the hubs. Just mask off the hubs so you don't get any paint in the brake linings and you'll be good to go.

I looked at the mini gunz website and didn't see the spray paint for sale anywhere? The stuff i used to use dupli color wp-316 steel has been discontinued.

There is a "Contact Us" tab at the bottom of the website. Call or email Jeff and tell him what you need and he'll set you up.

    Tom,
How much did a can of that spray paint cost? I want to tear into mine this winter and want to line up the stuff to do it right.
