Thread: best quality aftermarket rear shocks?

im looking at getting some stiffer rear shocks for my 1982 ct70..

who has the best ones available? something like ohlins would be great..

any suggestions?

and they are great. I did have to mount them upside-down so that the rear sprocket would not rub on the shock. They look like high quality items and my bike no longer bottoms on bumps.

im thinking more along the lines of $350 not $35.. looking for real quality ones.

I will also have boster kind like the the quads have but more money, 55.00 plus shipping

thanks, but im looking for something like ohlins or showa. certainly nothing made in china..

What type of riding are you looking at doing?

I think that question needs to be asked first

For heavy off road riding I think you are out of luck on a CT70, you will damage the swing arm and frame if you get enough air

For street driving, the rear shocks will make a significant improvement, but going to the absolute best shock wont give you any added benefit other than longevity over tens of thousands of miles compared to a mid range choice.

With limited options you may have a lot less to decide at the end of the day. It really depends what you are looking at doing.
