Thread: CT70 Rear shocks

I can get a good deal on soome CT70 rear shocks, and I was wondering if I could use them on my '73 Z50. Does anyone know how tall they are? Would they fit without modification? Im asking mostly becasue Im a heavier rider, thus the rear shocks seem to sink alot when I ride, so maybe these would be a bit better for me.

Aswell, would any HD front fork springs for a crf50 work for the Z50? My bike is mostly ridden on the street for fun, to kill time, so I can't really justify spending alot on shocks.

The shocks are longer on the CT.

I don't have personal experience with the front springs, but am told that the springs are the same in the front of the z50 and the crf50. Take a look at the "fastfifties" site. They sell the heavier springs for both bikes.

Okay, the ones on the Fast50's site raise the front one inch. What rear shock size should I go with to make the bike stand as even as possible?

I just ordered a set of rear shocks for my 1971 ct70 from Classic Honda in Texas. The site is hondaminitrail.com and they have an excellent online catalog. Plus it is nice to talk to a real person on the phone 903-509-2727 when you order. These are bolt on shocke with a pre-load adjustment!
