Disc brakes with stock forks and hubs

    Hi guys

Was wondering if anyone had any details on how to install front disc brakes onto stock ct70/chaly forks and hubs?

I've seen alot of thailand bikes running this setup but cant seem to find on this forum on anywhere on the net on how they do it properly.

I understand that an adaptor needs to be made for the front forks and hub to adapt the disc and caliper but cant find any detailed images or info on how to do so.

Anyone know more about this or have some good pictures which shows how its done?? Or maybe even a link to someone that might sell these adaptors??

Take the simple route and order a kit from trailbuddy!.... they give you everything you need. i spent HOURS looking for an alternative since im in canada the kit cost MEGA money! but i was unable to find anything other then ordering the kit....

    Thanks for the advice mate.

I guess things are worst for me since im in new zealand which means even more mega bucks! I'll try searching around for a little bit more but I guess if I cant find anything then I will have to order from MTB

BTW are dax and chaly forks interchangeable? They the same lengths and what not? What about the z50 monkeys? Im planning to lower the bike a bit anyways so if the forks are a bit shorter than standard chaly's then its a bonus!

And for reference, this is the type of thing im going after! Not how its still stock forks but he has an adaptor on it to accept the disc brakes and calipers?

You can use the lowers from a z50 in your uppers from the CT70.

Thanks for the detail. I assume since the z50 is a smaller bike the forks will be obviously be a bit shorter? Anyone have a rough idea how much shorter it will be?
