    electrical options:140Lifan into ct110

Okay, I did the lifan 140 into 81ct110. Some work and learned quite a lot. Now the question. I got it started and I went with the dratv keep 6 volt rectifier, only because I had bought a new 6 volt battery before engine change,(don't ever start a old engine with old rusted chain, even after wd40 spray, will go into engine case!!!) Now I have disconnected yellow wire at headlight case because I don't want to blow headlight. Questions: Can I use original rectifier in headlight circuit to lower volts? Can I have 6volt for turn and brake, with 12 volt to headlight if I change headlight to 12 volt? Should I just change everything to 12 volt??? Give me some options, I saw posts about led lights and that gives me some options to think about.
Other things I'm thinking about: changing to stock or aftermarket exhaust, footpegs, handlebars. I'm glad I researched the oil cooler hook up as there seems to be some confusion.Hooks to bolt holes under clutch housing, with outer bolt to top of cooler.I did feel cooler get hot so it must be working!!!

measure the voltage at the headlight wire, if it's 12-14v, put in a 12v headlight! it's a separate circuit than what runs through your rectifier, if it's similar to a ct70, so it shouldn't be affected by your 12-6v dropper

Are you supposed to measure in ac volts? I got 10 to 11 in ac volts. I think I'll go with the dratv light.

Tried a 12 volt sealed beam tractor bulb that was for sale.Works great(35 watts).I also got a sealed beam replacement fixture that takes a H-4 replacement bulb. Can a 140 lifan stator put out enough for a 50/65 watt H-4 bulb? Also , where is everyone getting the led blinker lights?

for the record, your bike puts out DC power, so you should measure in DC Volts, but it sounds like you've got something working

The more power you use for lighting, the less you have available for driving, so keep that in mind too.

I got LED's from superbrightleds.com or something silly like that. found the url on the board here
