HEY! its dude! (Chuck right?) Cool - sporting the bigger engine now? I just read your million page post (boosting the numbers by one). That looks awesome. A rack and a boat gas tank would probably set me up then. (I kind of wondered if the DMV would get on my ass for having a external tank) looks like judging from your ticket - NO!
thank you

This one is mine. 2 gallons in the back, .66 in the original tank. .33 in the side tank = 3 total gallons. I get about 70mpg with that motor...makes for about 200 mile total range.
This is how I'm rolling tomorrow morning. I'm fully packed. Just have to start and roll out.
It's sporting Fatcaaat's 142 Nice and a 3 gal aux tank with .66 in reserve.

I believe you want to find a small bulkhead fitting for the back of the gas tank. (google it) This will let you add a third nipple into the gas tank at the top rear of the tank (back by the battery). You can attach fuel line to that and run it back past the battery and out the rear of the frame. In theory you could add a valve under the seat and a quick disconnect under the taillight housing and just mount the aux. fuel tank when needed. Which would be pretty cool.
