    Thumper exhaust feedback

When I crashed my 82' CT70, I nearly ripped the stock muffler off the mounting bracket. I'm considering the "Thumper" exhaust from TrailBuddy. Does anyone have this? What do you think? Does it still allow 2 up riding? Is it a direct replacement?

    Sounds good, . . . looks relatively stock, . . . 2 up should be fine, . . . price isn't bad, . . . that's about all I know. I'm not ready for one yet, so I haven't had to decide.

I purchased this very exhaust a few months ago from TB. I have been very pleased with the performance and sound. It is very pleasing to the "stock" look that many CT70 enthusiasts are looking for, I am looking for more of a HP pipe but not too loud. Kind of want my cake and eat it too!

I purchased this exhaust and it does look pretty stock, the only thing is that the rear mounting tab that bolts to the shock is angled and the stock is flat. this make the exhaust stick out a little more than stock, the first couple of rides I noticed it, but you get used to it.

    Raginct70,
Mine isn't that way, it is straight. You might want to contact TB and tell them of the problem, they might be able to remove and weld another (straighter) one on for you. They have been very nice to deal with, no problems.

I love the pipe, nice sound good flow, mine also has kind of a bent out bracket, but i fabbed it so i got it mount closer in.

Nice pipe for the price is my final say.

For $80 more you can get this pipe, and I am sure it performs better than the thumper exhaust.

NHRC SHOW CHROME COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM CT70

I love Trail Buddy too, I am not knocking there stuff, just adding to the options, those guys are great to deal with.

I've got a NHRC on my ct with a 160 Lifan and it runs great. I did open up the nose cone with three 3/8 holes, stock it sounds real chocked up, you do have to watch you don't burn yourself like I did lol I thought it cooled off and bumped my arm on it won't do that again!
