Top plate/bar conversion to motox style on 70 CTKO

I want to convert my handlebar set up to 7/8" moto bars. I am having a custom top plate made to bolt bar clamps while retaining my stock bottom plate and forks. Some handle perches and levers and maybe some cables and a switchpod to keep wiring clean. Any others do this mod? Looking for a placetobuy these items as well as ebay

Also Im going to paint my hubs black, polish the caps and paint the rims chrome or paint to match the frame.

I did the handle bar mod on my daughters 69 z50. I have a lathe and milling machine so it was quite easy.

The top plate was made from 1/4" aluminum with 1" riser that were made from aluminum round bar.

So it appears to be possible to put folddown bars on an ATC70? Good to keep in the ol' brainbox, as you don't get the option of laying a trike over to get it into the back of a stationwagon.
The hurrieder I get, the behinder I end up!

Nothing fancy just a 1/4" plate, I counter bored the under side so the forks would recess into the tripple tree, and added a key hole for the ignition switch.
I turned the risers on my lathe then cut the flats on my mill.

I guess the 1/4" plate is thick enough where you dont feel any flex? Nice job on the risers, they look nice. I got some beat up mx risers that I cleaned and buffed earlier tonight.

I have not noticed any flex, the distance between the three mounting points is short enough to prevent any flex.

Looks like you went with aluminum, how thick is the piece. Nice job.
