I know of several people who would agree that the stock brakes are for larger bikes but still unsafe for higher speeds. You might also want to think about suspension for the size motor and higher speeds. Those front forks on a K2 are desirable but if you plan on staying healthy and road-rash free, high speeds on a CT probably isnt a good idea without a healthy frame, fork, and brakes.

Yeah I have decided not to go 140 cc, and instead go for 110 Lifan, about the same price, but it will take a little less modifications elsewhere on the bike, I will get a new drive chain, rear sprocket, and maybe replace bearings. The brakes still grip tight but I will try to get a good look at them when I redo bearings later this summer. The bike is in really good shape, and I cant wait to put a new motor in it!.

Selling the old motor when it comes off! Any Takers on this fine beauty?

It may be a while before the motor comes off, possibly early spring. I am not promising to sell the motor for a certain date. The motors vin I will check tomorrow or this weekend and let you know. I would ask 100$ for the motor w/o carb and air box. The motor needs a kick shaft adj and the top end could probably use a fresh set of rings. The motor runs fine once started and shifts clean and smooth. Motor easily achieved 45 mph downhill with a 120 lb rider. (Thats me!) Like I said once it starts it runs really strong. Any more questions let me know.

Thanks, Just let me know when you get closer to wanting to sell. You may want to go with a different carb when you get a new/bigger motor and I'm sure you will want a more open filter. The stock is pretty restrictive, especially for larger cc engines.

I wish I knew how fast my HKO could go with a 120 lb rider. I'm considerably heavier. The engine has to work much harder to lug me around.

I could do some speed tests for ya just bring it to Ontario! I have always been an average height, with a few less pounds!

And for Karen, I could sell the carb with it if someone was interested I was just going to part them out because I thought it might go better that way.

The new motor comes with a 19 mm carb, is this larger or smaller than stock?
