does anyone here go the the swap meet in davenport iowa? anyone know the date they have it?

well, according to the website, it's Sept. 2-5 this year. HELLO

Has anyone been to this before? I wonder if it's worth the drive?

It looks like the quad cities people really love their bingo

not much else for people to do around here this place sux nothing but cornfields and bingo....lots of old people around here iowa is the third most senior citizen populated state in the states....cali is first fla is second

It's not all horrible. I've gone caving in Iowa and had a great time. Sure it's not Mammoth Caves, but it was better than nothing.

But overall, Iowa does blow.

I will take Iowa anyday. I have no problem finding things to do. Northeast Iowa is an awesome place to live if you are into the outdoors and nature. It is what you make of it.

That's true, but the moment you live anywhere outside the midwest, is the moment you realize how shitty the midwest is. At least for me it was/is.

Yeah, I go to Davenport every year. Oh hey, we both live here. I usually hang out with Mike and Frank of "American Pickers". They are always close to the Grandstand and food vendors, and Mike lets me sell from his spot if I have something. Last year when I was broke from having no job for two years, he even bought me lunch.
