My buddy and I both took our CL70's to P.I.B. and across on the ferry. It was a nice time. I think it is more suited for the party goer and the put put people...we covered the island in about 30 minutes and had a sandwich.

I guess we just wanted to see what it was all about...however, we are the riding type. No problem packing 200+ miles in a day for us.

yes dont be fooled it is a party island!! id say there is 25mi of paved roads on the island, and a few beaches, we used to have a dirt track on the north shore but the fuzz shut it down!

    Yep,
there is only prolly 20 miles of roadways - total on the island, but we still manage to rack up 150miles a weekend there!

I wish I could go to put in bay. I'm from Toledo Oh, but now I'm stationed out in California with the navy.

At this late date, I'm wondering whether there's another group of small Honda riders or I'm just aware of nearly the whole group. Dropped-off some parts to a fellow CT70 addict out in the N.E. `burbs last summer. He wasn't home, but the neighbor comes out, introduces himself and his bike collection...which included about a half-dozen CT70s of various descriptions. And the guy mentions the PIB weekend, that "it's been getting bigger each year" and that they "take over the island". I reckon it doesn't matter, a small-but-enthusiastic group is fine; imo, it's all good.

Mostly, I'm more of Jared's mindset...into 3-digit mileage total rides...but mindful that variety keeps things interesting. Yeah, with no more than 25 miles of roads, it surely won't take long to cover the whole island by bike. On the other hand, the whole putt putt & party thing has a cool vibe all its own. This is one of the few places I can think of that allows the guys with stock originals to participate as equals with faster, modded, bikes. Mid-Ohio is fun on a small bike; PIB, by comparison, is like cruising the Autobahn So add one to Dano's estimated attendance and a new attraction - the Jack Daniel's tent.

The dude's name is Kevin, can't quite recall his last name (started with an "H", Polish or Ukrainian as a I recall). Only spoke with him on the phone a couple of time, dropped off some small parts with his next door neighbor. He lives in Warren, just north of 696. That's about all the info I have. Perhaps these guys are part of your group. If not, and they really do visit PIB every July 4th, then this year could see a 50% increase in attendance
