    Videos

Right about now, those of us residing in locales that have 4 seasons are varying degrees of "can't wait to dust off the bikes & shake-off cabin fever". Here is a short vid to kick things off for 2009.

For the time being, I'm making this thread a sticky. Where to take all things video from here will, I suppose, depend on how much interest/input is/is not forthcoming.

Ha! Nice job, racerx. Love the song, but not as much as the sound of that engine. Snow is all gone up here in Sudbury, so I imagine those fine Michigan backroads should be ready soon.

I figured it probably wouldn't mean much to you, Harry. Folks in your corner of the world have been known to suffer hypothermia when the mercury drops down to 55F; around here that's shirt sleeve weather. This one was slapped together to elicit a few well-deserved grins after what has seemed one of the longest cold seasons in many years.

The editing was done on a custom-built PC, running windows Crystal edition XP pro w/sp4 and a stripped-down version of Nero 4. I'm thinking of upgrading to Sony Vegas, but don't want to get too slick. These are just helmet cam videos, after all. They could get boring in short order. This was my first stab at video editing since the early `70s and I'm not too dissatisfied with the admittedly cheesy result. There's lot of raw material in the proverbial can and the intent is to post something new every couple weeks or so. These things are probably best when viewed during the winter. I'll keep them coming until they become stale or the humor element goes away. This is intended to be fun.

Nice vid! 45 degrees and pouring rain here in OH yesterday. The weather still hasn't turned the corner here, so my ride is still in the basement! However we did get in the 60's today, but it would have been in the 30's for the ride to work...I'm not man enough to ride when it's that cold.

    Keep the vids coming!

A few shots taken a month or so ago of my street tagged Panda using a Viosport POV helmet camera setup.

I love it. I guess I'm spoiled here in FL for being able to ride nearly year-round.

What part of the world is your residence Racer? Those roads remind me of my early years in WV. I love it there but wouldn't trade the sunshine for anything.

BTW, I've used your information more than a dozen times in the restoration of my KO, HUGE THANKS! This video makes me want to take a trip with my camera down my clay grove roads right now, needless to say i'm restricted by the whole "Job" thing.

Another thing, Interesting speedo, 12V or 6V system? And how did you rig it and where did you purchase it? (Eventhough its really cool, it still doesnt beat the analog original.)

Another thing, not to fill up this strand with comments. The angle on your handlebars are different than mine. My bars are perfectly parallel and vertical. Did you intentionally make them wider or is that the way they are in a different year?
